Gouache


Watercolor

One watercolor and one gouache piece. This was my first time with gouache and it was honestly pretty neat stuff, nice, forgiving and easy to control. Watercolor and I, on the other hand, have a long and sorted history of not really getting along... I think this is probably the first time I've managed to actually make watercolor do what I want it to... sort of.

Also, I was talking to a friend about how gouache was spelled versus how gouache was pronounced. I wound up breaking it down to "gwash" which eventually we mutated to G-Wash, which is, of course, what you call gangster George Washington.

Then this happened:

Summer so far...

So I've been trying to keep busy over the summer...

Painted a Cyberman for Carina's birthday...

That and I've done a number of self portraits, that number being 3 so far. This is the second of the bunch, I might post the third later, but the first is just... well... clearly the first? Going to see how far I take this, how competent I manage to get...
